School Admission Appeals

School Admission Appeals

11 March 2018

The schools admissions process can be an extremely stressful time for any parent. Many are still unclear on the process and grounds on which they can appeal. Successful parents considering admissions appeals at primary school level and beyond often benefit and are assisted in their success from clear legal advice.

Our Education Barrister, Manisha Marwaha, is on hand to assist with admissions and other education law issues. Manisha is ranked and recommended in the Legal 500 for her public law work and continues to act as a panel member and chair at education admission appeals hearings. Manisha also deals with secondary and university appeals as well as in year admissions resulting from moving schools. Manisha is further able to assist with admissions appeals for children with special educational needs.

Manisha routinely accepts and welcomes instructions on a direct access basis, which allows clients to instruct her directly without also using a solicitor. Manisha also provides training in education law to local authorities, solicitors, university student advisors, lay panel members and education experts.

At KBW Chambers we appreciate that the circumstances for each of our clients differ and accordingly Chambers provides various options and levels of support which may be needed at this important time.
