In public law proceedings with an international dimension, Manisha Marwaha successfully represented a Local Authority with parents and carers identified from numerous different jurisdictions including Sri Lanka. The case involved allegations of abandonment, trafficking and serious emotional abuse with grave credibility issues having been identified amongst key family members. Additional issues explored and addressed within the proceedings included the complex needs of the subject child, the immigration status of all parties and suitable international contact arrangements. The case successfully concluded before Mr Justice Poole with a final care order and care plan for long term foster care.
