June Venters KC led Jess Butterell in public law proceedings in an eighteen-day composite Final Hearing.

June and Jess represented the Father in the hearing which included a fact finding exercise concerning the most serious of allegations brought by the Local Authority, following the death of the parents’ first baby.

Within the hearing June and Jess successfully argued that the court need not make a finding on the cause of death altering the course of findings sought by the Local Authority. The case concluded with judgment after lengthy evidence, and the court concluded it was unable to name a perpetrator.
