Instructed by Nadat Solicitors, Edward Johnson represented a mother in Private Law proceedings, who accused the father – and the extended paternal family – of controlling and coercive behaviour over many years. The case spanned 4 days and involved both interpreters and the exploration of complex cultural dynamics. Following cross-examination and submissions, the court found that both the mother and her children had been the subject of significant abuse.
