Defendant acquitted of allegedly exploiting and raping a young woman

Conor Quinn together with Frida Hussain K.C. appeared on behalf of a defendant in Operation Hazelshot who was alleged to have exploited and sexually abused a vulnerable child. The defendant always maintained that he had been wrongly identified and on day 9 of his re-trial the jury were directed to return verdicts of not guilty. After a day of cross-examination, the majority of which related to evidence that Mr Quinn had identified in the unused material, the complainant refused to answer any more questions and, as a result, the Crown offered no further evidence.
