Six defendants, forming two opposing groups, were convicted after trials in relation to an organised shooting that took place in Hollybank Gardens, Bradford in October 2016. One group conspired to take a shotgun with a shortened barrel to the scene. The shotgun was discharged after a deliberate collision in which they drove into another car containing the second group. The other group responded by seriously assaulting the defendant who fired the gun. The longest sentence imposed was 18 years imprisonment with an extended 4 year licence period. The case was prosecuted by David Brooke QC leading Tamara Pawson.
